Transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project I.We.Society in Latvia

Our project coordinator Grobiņa Adult Education center from Latvia is hosting our transnational I.We.Society project team meeting, 2020-1-LV01-KA227-ADU-094488. The main focus of the meeting was on the creation of online courses and a platform where participants will be able to access online courses. During the transnational meeting from June 21 to 23, 2022 all open issues were discussed and planned activities for the next period were agreed upon.

The aim is to provide people of all ages with equal and open access to high-quality learning opportunities and a variety of learning experiences, special attention being paid to the vulnerable part of the society facing changes or disadvantages in their lives, some of them created by Covid-19 pandemic. The target group of the whole project is quite wide, but each program will focus on one special type of them. With this in mind, effective material based on the needs of different target groups will be created.

As part of the transnational meeting of the project team, we visited the cultural heritage and natural beauty of the city of Liepaja and its surroundings.

Transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project I.We.Society in Slovenia

The strategic partnership project team of the Erasmus+ project I.We.Society met at its host, the Ljudska univerza Rogaška Slatina in Slovenia from 23 to 25 May 2022. We are approximately in the middle of the implementation of the project, and we are working on the implementation of the project activities. Together, the contents of all online courses are created, experiences are exchanged, contents are proposed, and the methodology for creating online courses itself. Each project partner is primarily responsible for the creation of one online course, but also participates in the creation of the remaining five courses. At the meeting of the project team, reports on the progress of individual activities were submitted, administrative issues were discussed, and the planning and implementation of the following activities were agreed upon.

The project partners are working on creating six online courses for six different target groups, as follows:

1. When a young family have a child – for young families with newborns

2. When immigrants decide to return to their conutry – for returning immigrants

3. When people decide to retire – for newly retired people

4. When people have different disabilities – for people with disabilities

5. When a person is temporarily unemployed – for temporarily unemployed persons

6. Small business owner and an entrepreneur – for micro and small entrepreneurs.

The project team works in harmony (the atmosphere in the team is excellent :)) and the planned activities take place as agreed. In addition to the work part, we had the opportunity to get to know the cultural heritage and various sights of Rogaška Slatina and its surroundings.

Andragogical workshops for employees of the Ministry of the Interior

Andragogical workshops for employees of the Ministry of the Interior were held according to the approved program with the consent of the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education, and organized by the Police Academy.
During the workshops, the participants had the opportunity to refresh their andragogic knowledge and expand it with new knowledge related to the planning and implementation of lessons directed towards the participant. Also, they were able to apply and upgrade their knowledge and skills in a number of tasks, and in a fun and interactive way, they became aware of the benefits of active teaching methods.
Igor Štavlić was one of the leaders/lecturers at workshops in the area of six police administrations during April and May 2022.

Our new Erasmus+ project: I.We.Society

IGOR, Lifelong Learning Centre has just become a partner in the Erasmus+ project I.We.Society, 2020-1-LV01-KA227-ADU-094488. On March 1, 2021, the implementation of the two-year strategic partnership began. The Grobiņa Adult Education Center project coordinator is from Latvia, and the other partners are from Cyprus, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Spain. The total grant of the project for contractual period is estimated at 182.858,00 EUR.

The project is implemented by six adult education organizations, as follows:

During the implementation of the project, six online courses will be created for six different target groups of adult participants. The piloting of the new online courses will be carried out during 2022 and at the beginning of 2023 in all six partner countries.

Education: "School Management for the School of the Future"

School Management for the School of the Future is an education for principals and persons who, along with principals, participate in school management, as part of the activities of the Slavonika Regional Competence Center 5.1 project.

During the education, several workshops were held with the active participation of participants under the leadership of Igor Štavlić.
